ECHOnet Security- April 1, 2005
ECHOnline has enhanced their security procedures for logging in to ECHOnet. TrustCart has implemented those changes, and the automatic login is compatible with ECHOnet specs.
Clear archived transactions - September 8, 2002
For those user utilizing the service oriented TrustCart feature a Delete archived transactions link has been added. You now also do not see the archived transaction list while examining particular transactions, for ease of viewing and printing.
Track Advertising - July 17, 2002
This feature gives you feedback from your customer so they can tell you where they heard about you. Of course you will get some input from your ezstats, but this helps, especially if the customer is cooperative. You enable this feature by checkbox on your company info page, and then enter up to 12 possible sources which will be shown as a pull-down menu when the customer checks out. You can use as many as 12 or less if you want, the menu will adjust. It will automatically add 'Other' as a last selection, and give a place for folks to enter information should they choose. You will see their input in the email notifications both to you and the customer, and in your control panel when you extract orders.
Export customer file - Mar 9, 2002
This feature enables you to export your entire customer file to a comma delimited file. Under customer processing you will see the link to export customers. It will print to screen your list, including the tracking number, name, address1, address2, city, state, zip, country, telephone, fax, and email. You can then use your browser's Save As command to save as a text file. You can import this comma delimited file with Excel or any database or spreadsheet.
Clone This Order -Dec 7, 2001
Just in time for Christmas! You can now give your customer the opportunity to send their same order to other recipients. After the order is confirmed and a tracking number issued a button comes up that gives them the opportunity to send the order to someone else. Enable this under Basic Setup > Company Info
Disable Catalog Navigation - November 30, 2001
This is another case of disabling a feature that some folks do not want. Previously when a client placed an item in their shopping basket a link appeared to the entire catalog. Some folks don't want that link, so now you can disable it under Company info.
Shopping Basket Sequence Streamlined - November 23, 2001
We now have dropped one of the steps a customer takes in placing their order and combined it with another to streamline the ordering process. Now a client enters quantities and their shipping preferences at once to speed things up. Thanks to a client's input.
MP3 Support - November 3, 2001
This feature has been around a while but we didn't document it for you. You can attach mp3s that describe your product. Perfect if you are selling music, or anything to do with audio. Just make a directory in your web directory named mp3s and put an mp3 in there named after your intem no, just like you would with a photo in the photos directory.
Electronic Delivery - October 23, 2001
You can now use your TrustCart with Electronic Delivery of your published work. Stuff your products into a .zip archive [named itemno.zip etc.], place into your edelivery directory, and edit your Company Info and specify Electronic Delivery. You better use ECHO and realtime order processing, since the TrustCart automatically emails your product to your client. Good for software, books, anything that can be delivered in electronic form.
Use Promotional Discounts - August 27, 2001
Now you can give out up to 6 promotional discount codes that have 6 different discounts. You program this in your company setup and you can turn this feature on or off, plus name it whatever you wish, and change them at will. Your client then will put in a promotional code and his discount will be shown on the screen as he places his order, and it will also be emailed to him. Your notice by email will include the discount as well as your order tracking.
Process Tracking Customization - August 11, 2001
The feature is used to process your orders [see extract orders above]. It lets you know what your current orders are, and lets you process credit cards online, and keep track of authorization history [for ECHO customers], and mark your orders as shipped, or finished. When you check the finished box it deletes the credit card number and takes it out of the active list. You can now customize the 3rd checkbox, 'Shipped' to say whatever you want it to say for internal purposes. It is for your convenience only. Edit this prompt in the Company info section under Basic Setup.
Disable International Shipping - April 6, 2001
It is not often we add a feature that limits choices, but this is one. Some US clients cannot ship overseas, so now you can now select to do business only in the US. Edit company info and click on the select box to only do business in the US.
Service Oriented Form Logging - March 27, 2001
We now have added transaction logging so that you will not only get encrypted emails but your
transactions will be logged. You will see a processing area on this control panel if you use this feature. For details about this, see March 14.
Added Service Oriented Form Processing - March 14, 2001
You now can sell anything with your TrustCart, and not just inventory related services. To do this you
will take advantage of your secure server's ability to collect confidential information over the internet.
You can design any form and it will securely process the information and use encrypted email to send you
the results. Perfect for mortgage companies, confidential applications, etc., or just for when you
want folks to send you anything that is confidential. See Upload personal cert above for more information.
Added Gift Wrapping Option - December 1, 2000
Go to your Company Info section, enter in the price you want to charge for giftwrapping to
activate giftwrapping. Leave blank to delete this option and to prevent your clients from selecting it. If
you want to give your giftwrapping away for free enter "0.00" in the price and it will allow your clients to
select it for free.
Added detail info to thumbnails - Sept 17, 2000
Go to your Company Info section to click on an option that adds more detail info to your thumbnail setting.
Add thumbnails to the search.cgi - August 7, 2000
This feature is added in Company Info. These are not true thumbnail pictures, but we use the broswer to reformat
the size of your regular photo and display it on the search page. Specify the width of your thumbnail to enable
this feature, leave it blank to disable. Try a size of 75 to start.
Add table borders, colors, cellpadding, and cellspacing - August 4, 2000
To add these features edit Company Info. Start with border of 1 and cellpadding and cellspacing of 2 and experiment.
The colors will need to be browser readable, just like the background color, i.e. "white" or "#ffffff", etc. The
same formatting you chose will be used throughout the shopping cart.
New Pull Down Categories Menu - June 17, 2000
Add a pulldown menu of categories to any page on your site by renaming your page with a .shtml suffix and adding this

New Descriptive Titles Option - June 16, 2000
You may now change the descriptive name for Item Numbers, Manufacturers, Price, Quantity, and the description that links to the more.cgi. This is easily
edited in the edit Company Info section of this control panel.
New Features for ECHOnline customers!
Realtime credit card processing now available by selecting it in your Company info. This will
allow you to check your customer's credit card while they are online. It will log your authorization, and
automatically bring up a DS so you can deposit it.
Realtime processing is only available with ECHOnline. If you are not an ECHOnline customer and wish to become one,
they charge a setup fee of $195.00, $10.00 per month, 2.59% discount, and 20 cents per transaction. Call us and we will help you
get your account set up.
ECHOnline customers please note that we now have expanded Manual Processing. If it is not working properly for you,
you may need to be set up. Contact your ECHO rep and ask them to activate ECHONet, or call us for help.
New Order Processing Features!
Please note that when you extract current orders for processing you now get a list of orders pending your
approval. You now select the one you want and you can print out just that order. Also, for those who wish
to keep track of their order status you can optionally check different status boxes as you use them. When you
are done, just press finished. [You don't have to use the other boxes if you don't want to.]
New Freight Option
You can custom design your own freight option now. It will not calculate by weight, but is designed to be used with a flat shipping charge of your choice [could be zero]
